Creative Review

Slanted Magazine.

New issue on women Typographers and Graphic Designers, making sure Female typographers get reconised. I love the layouts used in this magazine and the careful consideration of type.
(Analyse 2-3 page spreads)

The Sound of Fonts.

TYPOLYRICS- A book about music and typefaces, looking at typefaces used within music and lyrics and how they have shaped the songs. This book by slanted. I would like to produce an editorial piece using only black ink on coloured paper, it looks fresh and young and would save on printing costs. I like the idea of showing how well type can fit with music and create the 'sound' ...looking at a types personality and how it makes us feel. The use of type as image is cleverly used to create shapes and patterns.

Typopassage exhibition.

An exhibition showing typographers work spanning from the initial concept to the final piece of type. Its really interesting to see how the type has been made, what system they have used and why. The type shown is very experimental, creating grids and processes to apply to type design
