Marloes Duyker

This map was created highlighting the major fashion houses of the world, they have been highlighted using buttons and materials and the map has been drawn with stitch. It puts the map into context with what it is showing, it has a delicate, ornate feel to it turning information into art.

His work to me although illustrative textile pieces had an element of graphic design, they communicate information and order. I love using stitch within my work, i think the handmade element gives the piece value, each one is always unique.
