OUGD103- http://www.neave.com/

Interactive Website
I found this website whilst browsing through 'stumbleupon'. at first i thought 'jackpot!' a website to encourage imagination unfortunately it wasn't imaginative or inspiring at all.
although the tasks set were really interactive for the viewer.
I the concept is really good, unfortunately the delivery is poor.. the visuals appear to be the same as the old screensavers on a pc.

OUGD103- Citid

GD'CitID is a ambitious project aiming to gain global consciousness by giving a (type)face to every city worldwide; big or small, rich or poor, famous or infamous, well-known or unheard-of.

Ever heard of Tegucicalpa? How about Sandnes or Brunswick? Probably not. Right now they're just hard-to-pronounce foreign words that you will not remember. The fact is, they are all cities somewhere on our planet. Places you're most likely never to visit. Through this project you will become aware of them, and maybe even remember their names; Here you get to meet them personally and visually, in an inspiring artistic context.

Our hope is that creatives from around the globe will make a logo or a visual interpretation of the city closest to their heart. The universal goal is that every city ultimately gets their own identity on CitID, and that both the city and it’s aesthetic contributor gets recognition through this library - a place where you come for visual inspiration and leave with more knowledge about the world we live in.'

OUGD103 SFE- Packaging Ideas

'This is a collection of 100 postcards, each featuring a different and iconic Penguin book jacket. From classics to crime, here are over seventy years of quintessentially British design in one box. In 1935 Allen Lane stood on a platform at Exeter railway station, looking for a good book for the journey to London. His disappointment at the poor range of paperbacks on offer led him to found Penguin Books. The quality paperback had arrived. Declaring that 'good design is no more expensive than bad', Lane was adamant that his Penguin paperbacks should cost no more than a packet of cigarettes, but that they should always look distinctive. Ever since then, from their original - now world-famous - look featuring three bold horizontal stripes, through many different stylish, inventive and iconic cover designs, Penguin's paperback jackets have been a constantly evolving part of Britain's culture. And whether they're for classics, crime, reference or prize-winning novels, they still follow Allen Lane's original design mantra. Sometimes, you definitely should judge a book by its cover.'

I really like this idea it fits with my project so well especially because i changed my design from a book to loose postcards. i love the fact that it looks like a book but it is packaging. it appears really rich quality and is appropriate for the penguin book brand.

pictures to use

flyers

i like how they have used all the artist equipment merging into the type to make this flyer, it links the two together and suppports the idea of digital design
i love the smaller images in the flyer below it is subtle yet effective as it supports the idea of lots of products in a jumble sale

OUGD103- SFE

I like the composition of this, the numerous images emerging from his head. I could use a similar idea for the poster of my SFE project
